Registry

Computer slower then when you got it? It's probably your registry. When you intall programs, they put themselves into your registry so that your operating system knows the program exists. When you click on the short cut to open a program it goes to the registry to find out where the files are and tons of other stuff the computer needs to know to run that specific program. Well the problem people get is that when you un-install programs most of the time the registry information does not get deleted which makes your computer slower. You can either go in and edit your registry yourself (not suggested) or read the next couple posts for more information.

There is a great tool Digeus Registry Fixer I recommend to use it when there are problems with windows. I also use Windows Tune Up Suite. It reduces the amount of time it takes your system to boot.
